Volume 5 (2010-11) Special Edition: Critical Musicology

This edition of Radical Musicology, Volume 5 (2010), was commissioned by Richard Middleton, our outgoing co-ordinating editor. The authors were all approached individually and asked to give their thoughts on the state of so-called “critical musicology”, in the broadest possible sense. Inevitably, different scholarly orientations, locations and perspectives have emerged and the plurality is what makes reading these contributions together so productive.
